Organisers hope that Annemiek van Vleuten can defend her women’s elite road race title from this year’s Wollongong event in Australia. Rugby World Cup 2018 will also take place over the coming months, pitting England and New Zealand against South Africa and Australia with its final set for 28 October at Saint-Denis Stadium near Paris.
